معنى الرطوبة (Moisture)؟
الرطوبة هي نسبة الماء الموجودة داخل العسل.
كلما كانت الرطوبة مرتفعة، زادت احتمالية تخمر العسل وقصر مدة حفظه. أما انخفاضها فيساعد على الحفاظ على جودة العسل واستقراره.
عادةً تكون نسبة الرطوبة في العسل الطبيعي حوالي 15–20%، وتُعد النسبة الأقل من 20% مناسبة لمعظم أنواع العسل.
انخفاضها علامة على النضج الكامل والحفظ الجيد.
